Sharing with friends

Tell them six characters. That’s the whole thing.

When your game passes its checks, it gets a game code — six characters, capital letters and numbers, like LILIAN or K3PT9M. Anyone who types that code into their mebobox gets your game and plays it.

There’s nothing to approve, nothing to wait for, and nothing to install. From the very first version that runs, you can share it.

Where to find your code

  • In Builder Lab — it’s the chip at the top of the editor, next to your game’s name. Click it to copy it.
  • In the Creator Hub — every game you’ve made is listed with its code.

If the chip says Not playable yet, press ▶ Play first. A game that hasn’t passed its checks has a code, but nothing to fetch yet — so the console would say it couldn’t find it.

How your friend plays it

  1. On their mebobox, choose Choose game.
  2. Move around the keyboard with the D-pad and pick each character with A.
  3. Six characters later, your game starts.

They don’t need an account, and they don’t need to know you made it — though you should probably tell them.

When you make it better

Upload a new version, or just press ▶ Play again in Builder Lab. It keeps the same code, so everyone who already has it gets your newest version next time their mebobox checks. You never have to send a new code out.

And if a new version has a problem, the old one keeps working until the new one passes — so nobody is ever left holding a broken game.

Sharing with everyone

A code is for the people you choose. If you’d like anyone at all to be able to find your game, that’s the Library, and it goes through a quick check first — more about that here.
